Jim Bergman VIEW PROFILE

James Wyatt Bergman, 63, of Leavenworth, died, Friday, January 3, 2020. He was born June 26, 1956, in Leavenworth, the son of Edward P. and Bonnie C. (Wagle) Bergman.

Jimmie is survived by his father, Edward (Mary) Bergman; three children, James (Michaela), Chelsea (Richard), and Perry (Haylee) all of Leavenworth; a brother, Edward (Debbie) Bergman Jr.; four grandchildren, Makenzie, Payton, Jase, and Emma; his extended family; and his faithful dog, Lillie.

He was preceded in death by his mother and a sister, Glenda Young.

Jimmie was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #55 and Leavenworth County Fish and Game for more than 40 years.

He worked at the Lansing Correctional Facility for over 42 years.

Jimmie loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed taking his kids fishing while they were growing up or doing anything outdoors. Jimmie also liked to spend his time at his cousin Jerry’s farm cutting firewood, checking cattle, and doing whatever else needed to be done.

Visitation will be from 10 to 12 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, 2020, at the R.L. Leintz Funeral home.
