Michael James Evans, 65, of Greenwood, passed away on September 24, 2021. Mike was a graduate of Leavenworth High School, Leavenworth Kansas, class of 1974. He was a United States Navy Veteran and spent over 35 years in the soft drink industry. He enjoyed playing sports, especially softball and flag football.

Michael loved his family very much. Survivors include his wife, Judy Evans; daughter, Jennifer (Scott) Rippy; sons, Matt (Melody) Evans and Michael (Jamie) Evans; stepdaughters, Jerri (Mike) Clouse, and Lora (Zane Hopkins) Johnson; sisters Tooter (John Dickson, and Kay Chesnutt; thirteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren; his beloved cats; Indy and Lenny; sister-in-law, Ester Evans, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Evans; stepfather, LtCol Roland Sterns, father, Robert Evans; stepmother, Helen Evans; brother, Gary Evans, and a host of aunts and uncles.

Visitation will be on Friday, October 1, 2021, from 9:30 am – 10:30 a.m. at G.H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home, 1605 S. St. Rd. 135, Greenwood, In, with the service at 10:30 a.m. He will be laid to rest in Marion National Cemetery, Marion, Indiana.
