Dale Fryman, 69, passed away September 14, 2024.

Dale was born July 11, 1955, to Hershel and Virginia Fryman. He graduated from Leavenworth High School in 1974 and enlisted in the US Army in 1976, where he served in several duty stations until 1982. He married Elizabeth VanDruff on June 7, 1985.

In 2021, Dale retired from the Leavenworth County Road District after 20 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother David, grandsons Maverick and Jacob Simpson, and Elizabeth’s parents Grover and Betty VanDruff.

He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Fryman of the home, his children Donald (Rebecca) Richeson of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, Charles Richeson of Topeka, Kansas, Brenda (Scott) Simpson of Leavenworth, Kansas, and Theigha Cooperider-Fryman of Boring, Oregon, eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Also surviving are siblings Lawrence Jr., Thomas, Larry and Lisa Wright, all of Leavenworth.

Visitation will be held at Davis Funeral Chapel, 6th and Shawnee, Leavenworth, Kansas on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at 10:00 am, followed by funeral services at 12:00 pm. Interment will take place at Leavenworth National Cemetery at 1:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions
can be made to Children’s Mercy Hospital.
