Susan Marie Waite Brown
February 21, 1956 – April 22, 2022

Susan M. Brown, 66, of Fairbanks Alaska, military wife and mother of two, passed away on April 22, 2022. She was born on February 21, 1956, to Richard and Louise Waite at Fort Riley, Kansas.

She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Waite, mother Helen Poweska, and brothers, Dan Waite and Michael Waite.

She is survived by her husband, Stephen L. Brown of Fairbanks, Alaska, daughters, Sarah (Wayne Sweeten) Susalla of Fairbanks, and Meagan (Jay) Whay of Midlothian, Virginia, sister Joyce (Scott) Schwertfager, of Duluth, Georgia, and brother Steven Waite of Leavenworth, Kansas as well as grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Susan loved her family with all her heart and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

A private family service will be held at a time and place to be determined. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, an organization Susan felt strongly about.
